Windsor Park Stud 'privileged' to put Coolmores Auguste Rodin in Recent Zealand

Auguste Rodin (IRE) will work with his Coolmore Hengst and his colleague Troy in the southern hemisphere in the coming season, but instead he will go to the Recent Zealand Park Stud in Windsor Park. The son of Deep Impact (JPN) stands for $ 30,000 (approx. € 16,000).

The eight-class stallion stallion of the bolt also includes Paddington (GB) and Circus Maximus (IRE), and before that it was the home of the Coolmore Shuttlers Montjeu (Irish) and High Chaparral (Irish).

Rodney Schick, director of Windsor Park, said: “We have the privilege, a race horse by Augustin Rodins caliber in our stallion start.

“His racing performance has a remarkable resemblance to that of High Chaparral, which we stood here in Windsor Park and who had the global success and international renown through his own success and that of his sons, grandchildren and daughters at stud.

“We thank Coolmore for their ongoing mighty confirmation and support for both Windsor Park and the Recent Zealand breeding industry, just like last season the Paddington.”

Auguste Rodin, a group 1 winner with two, three and four years, triumphed six times at the highest level. He added the Irish derby to his Epsom success and also won the Irish Champion Stakes and Prince of Wales' Stakes over 1m2f.

Tom Magnier from Coolmor added: “Auguste Rodin is an extraordinary race horse and stallion, with the mixture of class, speed and family tree that only has the best.

“He is a very special horse for us at Coolmore and I really believe that he picks up up there with the best racing horses and ranks that we stood here in front of him.

“We are pleased that he will become Windsor Park Shuttle to improve his future heritage in the southern hemisphere.”
