Winbak Farm is proud to announce that you have teamed up with the existing property of the O'Brien Prize. Nijinsky.
“Nijinsky is an extremely brisk horse that refuses to get lost,” said Casie Coleman, “he never gives up and goes to every dance and is always hunting.”
In 2024, Nijinsky led all horses to North America with remarkable 11-belt racing wins of 17 starts, including nine for nine in Canada. His victories included the 1 million US dollar North America Cup, a Monument Circle of 250,000 US dollars, $ 167,000 Simcoe Stakes, 83,000 US dollars, which are located in the areas of Ontario Sire Stakes and $ 300,000 for Super Final. He was second in Meadowland's pace, the breeding crown and progress.
“When the opportunity to buy part of Nijinsky, we took the chance,” said Joe Thomson, Farm owner of Winbak. “We look forward to the fact that he raced in the biggest race in 2025 and finally stood on Winbak Farm.”
Nijinsky shares a name with a remarkable thoroughbred. The legendary Nijinsky was bred by EP Taylor on his wind field farm in Ontario. EP Taylor was also the former owner of today's Winbak Farm in Maryland (at Windfields comes from the “victory” in Winbak). He came from the second harvest of Fohlen, who were created by Kentucky Derby winner Northern Dancer, who was part of his career in Maryland on Windfields Farm.
“It is an astonishing feeling to work on a farm that is emitted in the history of the horse racing,” said Jack Burke, General Manager of Winbak Farm. “This farm has produced Champions in two industries, and we look forward to reducing Nijinsky one day.”
Nijinsky is conceived by one of the largest graduates of Winbak. Bettor's joy. The superior stallion has produced winners around the world and generated 44 millionaires in North America.
“Nijinksy, the thoroughbred, was a productive race horse and his dam Flaming page was buried in the Champions cemetery on the Winbak Farm in Maryland,” said Thomson. “I think it was fate that we were allowed to shop in a great horse named Nijinsky since we shared his story since the farm was bought.”
Bettor's joy used to stand on the Winbak Farm of Canada before being moved in the southern hemisphere.
“I hope Nijinsky has a successful season in an open department that has many sturdy competitors,” said Burke. “Further details about Nijinsky Standing at Stud will be available in the coming months.”
The Winbak Farm team is grateful for the opportunity to be a partner for Nijinsky.
“Many thanks to Casie Coleman, Mark Dumain, John Fielding, Ross Warriner and the rest of Nijinsky's connections,” said Thomson. “We are pleased that he continues to perform excellently under the guidance of his trainer Anthony Beaton.”
