Watch: Well -being of the race at the Cheltenham Festival

The security and well -being of horses are of the greatest importance for the British race.

Before the Cheltenham Festival, we produced a miniature film to highlight the measures available at the festival to ensure that every runner occurs in the best possible conditions and receives the highest standard for care and support.

In the following video, Sally Taylor, BHA boss of the Equine Regulation, Safety & Social, and Amy Hawthorn, BHA veterinary officer, lead through the steps that were taken for each horse running in Cheltenham, including:

-exams before the race
– Submission and analysis of medication recordings
– Monitoring of horses during and after the race
