Vega Magic at Goffs as November foal sale begins

Vegas Magic was seen at the weekend when the F1 circus appeared under the neon blame of the strip, but it was the razzmatazz of Vega Magic, which dazzled on November 20 at Goffs Cheerful Vega Toured on the opening day of November foal sales.

Zhang Yuesheng's son of Lope de Vega The one in the Irish National Stud is against the sales ring critics for the first time this week.

With an average price of € 36,000 and an release rate of 80% for the father's shares, which was bred from an advertised fee of € 15,000, Cathal Beale, CEO of the Irish national stud, was very satisfied with the reception that offered the first foal of the bird.

“We have two cheerful vegas in the top 10, which is great,” he said. “You sold great and the conversation of all buyers is very positive. The release rate is very good for providers, which is great and is very aware of it.

“None of the horses sold fell under the stud fee and the reigning cheerful vega earned € 65,000, bought by the Lucky Vega Syndicate, and it was great to see this support from the inside.”

Lucky Vega was the leading father overall and just in second place Earthlight lead the father on average.

The top statement went to a half brother of Secret time who was second in the Prix d'Aumale (G3). Sent by Irene Scheldt, he was bought by the cheerful Vega team, which is in numbers here and offers her father sturdy support.

Skara Stud leads the way

Railton's other cheerful Vega purchase was from Skara Stud, who handed over a half-sister to four winners under the direction of Taamol, the black type of King Charles II Stakes. Her mother, the highest seducer, is a half sister from Montjeu to Oaks d'Italia (G1) and Moyglare Stakes (G1) third Menhoubah.

It was an excellent day for the Skara -Stud -Crew, which also handed over the costly stuffy foal of the session. Your daughter of Mahmas was bought by the TALLY-HO team who knows Gut Mehmas when you see one, and € 80,000 ($ 87,546, $ 1 = $ 1.0944) to ensure that the stut foal returned to West-Meath.

The Mahmas stall foal was prescribed as Lot 195 in the ring of the Goffs November foal sale

The April foal is the third of KSESEPAL, an odd Electros Sister of the 2015 Lowther Stakes (G2) and Princess Margaret Stakes (G3), Besharah, who was third in the Cheveley Park Stakes (G1).

Mahmas also achieved a milestone in his stallion career with the debut when selling foals by his son supremacy The Lucky Vega defeated when he won the Middle Park Stakes (G1).

The Supremacy is on the Yeomanstown Stud and the first offer of the Richmond Stakes (G2) key in the ring with Tom Whelan's Church View Stalls, who have prescribed his bestseller that day. The stallion foal was put down on Flash Conroy's Glenvale stud for 54,000 euros and helped the supremacy to third place in the table of leading sires as a whole.

The opening meeting of the November foal sales on Monday got the ball steadily rolling over six days of trade in Goffs. 158 were sold from the 212 foals on offer, which results in a release rate of 75%. This led to a trade of € 3,157,000 ($ 3,454,784), with an average price of € 19,982 ($ 21,867) and the median at € 16,000 ($ 17,509).
