Trainer speak – Evergreen Turf Country Championships Finale

By Greg Prichard

The coaches of (almost) every runner in Evergreen Turf Country Championships Final (1400 m) in Royal Randwick on Saturday have the last word about their opportunities worth $ 1 million.

1. Gallant star (Brett Robb, Dubbo): “I think he will only stand behind the leaders of Barrier Four. Get a little cover, save a little energy in a race like this.

2. Sumo -fish (Wayne Wilkes, Taree): No comments that were given.

3. Tribeca Star (Matt Dunn, Murwillumbah): “We had to race between the qualification game and the final, so I brought him to the gold coast. He never became clear in the straight, but at least we got him into him, so we checked this box. He is perfect for his grand finale.

4. Canny Hell (Kym Davison, Albury): “Fortunately, our luck has changed for him. It works perfectly this week, barrier two, so we can come to a position right behind the pace without consuming energy, and if he is good enough, he will be a good second for Asgarda at the end of the last start in Albury.

5. Zarizatycoon (Gayna Williams, Bathurst): “I don't think he would settle in a strange place, so we drive in the morning of the race. He works well. He didn't have many starts, so he is relatively inexperienced in a strenuous race, and there will be a large questions against the spice horses, but he is good and good and willing to go, he will be a competition.

6. Ticklebelly (Scott Collings, Goulburn): “She just missed in the qualification game and then she fought herself against the game card, and I was thrilled with the way she did. I am satisfied with the fact that she goes into the race. Pierre (Boudvillain, the Jockey) knows that she is eight and it is good in all conditions, so that we are in good condition.”

7. Do you know yourself (Paul Messara & Leah GavranichScone): “Aaron (Bullock) says he can ride him with 56.5 (half a kilogram) with which we have passed. He has a great opinion about the horse and he is very interested in reaching this weight, which he has not asked for a few years.

8. Consiger (Matt Dunn, Murwillumbah): “I ran it between the qualification game and the final, but over 1200 meters to keep it pointed. He came back and ran well home and he was great. He was great. He looks fantastic. Barrier 16 is obviously not ideal, but if he has to go back, I will no longer get worried.

9. Lisztomania .

10. BREETANA (Peter J Morgan, Wagga Wagga): “We are very satisfied with the horse, he is very hopping and very good. We wanted to give him another run between the qualification game and the final and we went to Albury, but unfortunately it was very soggy and he couldn't go with the (hefty 9).

11. Don Stefano (Dean Mirfin, Bathurst): “He is an endurance of horse that I try only for the shorter distance attractive and fresh, so I didn't do much with the fact that he went into the qualification game, and it has been the same since then. Only a few of brief, pointed sprints and swim a lot, go a lot and look a lot ahead.”

12. Red Moulin (Brett Robb, Dubbo): “He has improved out of sight since he took second place at Coonamble. Very satisfied with him, his work is exactly right. I saw that he is $ 81 – I do not think that he should be on the way as it arrived.

13. Sunchym ((Keith Dryden & Libby Snowden, Canberra): “She worked on the right course on Monday and she has jumped out of her skin since then, so I'm very satisfied with her. I am disappointed with the barrier (14), but I leave it to Tommy (berries) to drive his own race when it jumps when it works well.

14. Intervarity (Paul Messara & Leah GavranichScone): “She is a mare that we have had a great opinion for a long time. It is a free roller type and Barrier Five, whereby Damian Lane, who is great, gets into a nice rhythm and maybe even the second couple could be back if she doesn't give too much pressure.

15. Sass 'n' cheek (Pat Murphy, Goulburn): “We geared this race since she won a tab highway in Rosehill in November and everything went very well. On Wednesday she did her last work on Wednesday and her work was great, so I am very excited. I have Zac Purton Riding.

16. McKeon (Joseph Burges, Tuncurry): “She is in good condition. It will be 100-1 or more in this area, but Gruafen has already won it. We had to run for her because the long gap between the qualification game and the final was, and she was not lucky in this race in Newcastle.
