The world's richest horse has just padded his earnings with a hefty check from the AED 1,850,000 G1 Jebel Hatta over 1800 meters at Meydan on Friday. Hong Kong Horse of the Year Romantic Warrior (IRE) (Acclamation {IRE} – FOLK MELODY {IRE}, By Street Cry {Ire}) delivered a powerful final quarter in:22.80 to walk away, overwhelmed leader – and last year's winner –Measured time (UK) (Frankel {gb}) at the 100 meter mark to win the best as well. This Godolphin runner stood 50 yards from home and knocked the driver, William Buick, into the grass. Poker Face (IRE) (Fastnet Rock {Aus}) came second with Holloway Boy (GB) (Ulysses {ire}) Third. The time was 1:45.10, the fourth course record of the day. The timed time violation was later confirmed to be fatal, but Buick was fine and later raced on the card.
