The incumbent Inter -Dominion will jump out of the Cambridge's Cambridge on April 4 from the TROT TROT TROT TROT TROT TROT TROT TROT.

As two years ago, the locomotive on May 25 will tackle the legendary elitelopp on the Solvalla route from Stockholm.

The locomotive will be the fourth Australian trotter to contest the elitelopp, only the assumption, Maori Time (2018) and Sundon's poison (2009).

Including Kiwi Troters, only the great mare of Petite was able to qualify for the Elitlopp final and to run on the same day as the warming. It was fourth in the heat and in the 1997 final.

The Solvalla officials broke the news of the journey of the locomotive overnight.

His very excited coaching driver Brad Hewitt said: “We are confident that he is the right type of horse at the class and the speed for a race like the elitelopp.

“As long as he travels well, stands up and has a little luck with a barrier, he can be very competitive in the final and be very competitive.

“It will be good to have a lot of time almost six weeks before the race to settle down.”

Hewitt explained how the time with the Swedish superstar Bjorn Goop at Ladbrokes Ultimate Driver Challenge in Brisbane played an crucial role in him and owner Glenn Holland last month and pursued an elitlopp base.

“We had thought about the elitelopp, but we really warmed up on the idea after we had a long conversation with Bjorn Goop last month,” he said. “We have been in contact since then and its positivity was a substantial factor for the challenge.

“Like everyone here here, we watched with great interest when he believed that he went over a few years a few years ago and was so competitive in a few substantial races.

“Glenn (Holland, owner) and I are very grateful for the faith and support of Solvalla have shown in us and the locomotive, and we hope to become the first Australly trained trotter that makes an elitelopp final. We are sure that he is not just inventing the numbers.”

After his last win in Menangle last night (Saturday), the Locomotive with Don Hugo will be on a flight from Sydney to Auckland and the next Sunday to fame. The locomotive recorded a scorching 1 minute 52.1 seconds of mile when it drove to a 12.9 -M win.

The Elitlopp bid means that the locomotive will not defend its Inter -Dominion title in Albion Park in July.

“It is not possible to do both, so we leave him in Sweden for a few months and a few other substantial races after the elitelopp to make the best of the trip,” said Holland.

“I said to Brad when the invitation came from Solvalla, we just have to do it. This is a unique opportunity.”

I am ready, Jet and Arcee Phoenix also continue the fairytale night for Cambridge officers when they won last night. All doubts to Andy Gaths mare in the Ready Jet, who made the trip to Cambridge, were lifted when she trotted with her rivals in the group 1 Summingaboutmaori Mares.

It was her second win with just as many starts in this campaign.

It was the third victory of in the Ready Jet in the race of group 1 in the past four years and took over 750,000 US dollars.

Arcee Phoenix looked back on his best when he worked forward, dictated terms and ran away to easily win the Scotch Notch Memorial in Melton.
