The Kiwi trip hardens the evaporation for the Carbin Club Challenge

By Ray Hickson

The Lindsay Park team did not pour itself a challenge with talented three-year evaporations this season, and assistant coach Ben Hayes says that he was ready for another on Saturday in Randwick.

This is assumed in group 3 $ 250,000 HKJC World Pool Carbine Club Handicap (1600 m) on the back of a trip to Novel Zealand on the Peer Swiftfalcon level.

Hayes said this autumn campaign gave an insight into what he and the brothers become, and JD believe that he will develop – not quite Mr. Brightside 2.0, that's too high to set a bar.

“The stable has a very high opinion of him and I think it is more than able to win this race,” said Hayes.

“We have a lot of time for him, he is a raw horse that will improve with age. He has a reasonably straightforward autumn, even though he has traveled, but I think travel has improved him.

“It was a good run against the weight for age and he went to Novel Zealand and was not lucky in this race.

“He got through well and will love the mile, so we will go into the race very confidently.”

After a fourth game behind Mr. Brightside in Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400 m), as Hayes mentioned, he evaporated through the Tasman to fight the opening degree of the Kiwi, where he ran second behind Damask Rose.

On this occasion, the race was not equipped for the gelding because it seemed, and Hayes said it was a great effort to recover from early stomach.

But he suspects that there is a good chance that the Carbine Club could develop more according to his wishes.

“He was struck back (in the Kiwi) and hit the line pretty well to be beaten by a horse that probably had a better run,” he said.

“He landed on the box and the horses in front of him came back in his face and landed near the back part of the field.

“From four he will be able to get into a attractive position, to travel nicely and probably have a lead (SwiftFalcon). So if he gets the right run, it will be very tough to catch.”

Evaporation, $ 3.20 with Tab on Thursday, was held to the brand after his Novel Zealand trip with a barrier test victory in Randwick last week, and one of which Hayes was an crucial exercise.

“We are really satisfied with him, he had a process there last week and thought he tested very well,” he said.

“Sometimes he is a bit tough to ride, so Blake Shinn had his first sit on himself and he felt a good feeling.”

In the meantime, Hayes said that he is sweating the Star Doncaster Mile (1600 m) at dawn, but admits that it does not look good.

The four -year -old, a winner of eight years from 14, is the first emergency and it is said that Hayes Jockey Karis Teetan in Hong Kong published the expectation that there will be no scratches.

“I really hope he will get a run, he has geared to the climax of this race,” he said.

Evaporation wins a Randwick process on March 28th

“His process was excellent and we thought his run in the All Star Mile was good. Back to Handicap conditions and a great weight defender, he is there to walk well and pulled a barrier to get a gentle run.

“When he arrives, we will be cheerful if he doesn't do it and will probably return to Victoria.”
