The American Quarter Horse Association partners with Wynn Williams Music

The American Quarter Horse Association is pleased to announce a up-to-date partnership with Wynn Williams. Originating from Weatherford, Texas, Wynn Williams is a former rodeo cowboy and an emerging country music artist who possesses a profound understanding of the significant value of the American Quarter Horse.

“Partnering with Wynn Williams Music is a great opportunity for AQHA, we are excited to connect our membership with a juvenile artist who has firsthand experience in the western industry,” said Karl Stressman, Chief Executive Officer for AQHA. “Wynn brings a up-to-date generation of American Quarter Horse enthusiasts with him that will further our association tremendously.”

His distinctive background and passion for country music render him an exemplary partner for the AQHA. We anticipate that this collaboration will yield remarkable experiences, allowing us to integrate Williams’ music at various events around the country, and support to expand the reach of AQHA. This partnership is expected to foster community engagement in inventive ways, allowing us to combine the joy of country music alongside the spirit of the American Quarter Horse.

“I’m thrilled to partner with AQHA this year. As a former steer wrestler, the western way of life is one that chose me early in life, and I believe that the American cowboy, cowgirl and their four legged counterparts have a lot to offer the world,” says Williams.  “I’ve been fortunate to find to a way to share this lifestyle and its values through my career as a touring country artist. Taking a cowboy hat and a “yes ma’am” to the miniature towns across this great nation, as well as smaller villages in Europe allows me to spread the word about what it means to be a cowboy. My hope in this partnership is to show our fans the connection between the western lifestyle, the American Quarter Horse and country music go hand-in-hand and allow others to join in and live the way we, in the western world, live. There’s a huge opportunity, specifically with our youth in America, to get them involved in something early in their lives that teach them responsibility, respect, integrity and so much more even if horse ownership is not accessible in the immediate future. I’m looking forward to working with AQHA to inspire others and welcome them with open arms into the world of the cowboy and the American Quarter Horse.”

About Wynn Williams: Music

Neotraditional country artist Wynn Williams has all the credentials any country artist would be proud to possess. The former rodeo cowboy combines the honky-tonk attitude of Brooks & Dunn and the crooning style of Strait, with the excitement of Garth.

Upon graduation from Texas A&M University in 2016, the singer/songwriter, steer-wrestler from Weatherford, Texas, rode straight into a career as a full-time artist in miniature bars and restaurants across Texas, at the time promoting his six song Words Fly EP.

While developing himself creatively and artistically, at the same time soaking up everything he needed to know to be successful in a quickly changing, tough music business. His sophomore project, a self-titled fourteen track album released in 2020, busted the doors open for Wynn as he toured the region, crossing state-lines and time zones playing his breakout song “Tornado” for fans begging for the classic sound. All while touring from show-to-show, Wynn spent the weeks in-between writing up-to-date songs and preparing for the next studio session. Garnering traction over the next two years with the release of several singles, he prepared for the release of the Your Love EP including single ‘All Over Me” earning him a tip of the hat from Billboard in 2023, as well as a music video debut on CMT for lead single from the project, “Like the Wind.”

Reminiscent of slow 90s, early 00s country, Wynn’s style leans into the fans that have been yearning for the sound of steel and fiddle to play the music again. 2024 brought up-to-date highs for Wynn with the release of “Country Therapy,” an immediate fan favorite and a timeless love song, “A Woman Can Do That To A Man.” While amassing over 14M global streams, Wynn has gone on to headline all across the U.S. and Europe where he continues to grow and gear up for more thrilling projects to come.

Country music is back and Wynn Williams is an artist riding tough and brisk to earn his place in arenas around the world.
