If Ka Ying Rising (NZ) (Shamexpress) or MR Brightside (NZ) (Bullbars) or both win their respective races at the FWD Champions Day at Sha Tin on Sunday. The celebrations will break out worldwide.
The Hayes Australian family is at the forefront and the focus of these most critical candidates for the sprint price of the HK $ 22 million gr 1 and HK $ 24 million gr.1 FWD Champions Mile (1600 m).
For a miniature country, Recent Zealand has been beating its weight for over 80 years and has breeded and acted high -class racing horses. If you want to return, the largest of all, Phar Lap, was fogged on the South Island in Timaru in 1926.
Ka Ying Rising was filled in Windsor Park Stud near Cambridge in Waikato in 2020. He is a letted son of Shamexpress, the winner of Flemington's celebrated GR.1 Newmarket Handicap (1200 m) and the best of his descendants in any way.
The four -year -old's record is 12 wins of 14 starts and he will strive for his 12th victory in a row on Sunday. His only defeats were both second placements. It has not been beaten since February 12 of the last year.
His success had a significant influence on the Recent Zealand race and breeding and triggered the resuscitation of Shamexpress as a stallion, reports Mike Moran, marketing manager at Windsor Park Stud.
“Ka Ying Rising is a special, special horse. David Hayes is awe of him. It is great for the stallion. And it is great for the Recent Zealand industry in general, which is enthusiastic about it,” said Moran.
“Australia is known for its first-class sprinters, but Recent Zealand has Aerovelocity (NZ) (Pins), Lucky Sweynesse (NZ) and now Ka Ying rises. It is fantastic for us because it is an astonishing place to breed horses, and the Hong Kong buyers know that.
“They come again and again and will continue to do so by what this type did.
Shamexpress had lost the traction with breeders, its number of mares dropped considerably five years ago.
“Then he got Lim's Saltoro, who won the Triple Crown in Singapore and is now with Dan Meagher in Melbourne as well as Maracana and Grinzinger Belle, who won good races for Danny O'Brien.
“All of these horses came together. Shamexpress is now popular again, it is fashionable, especially his colts. They are in demand and brought good money with the sales,” said Moran.

MR Brightside is another Recent Zealand story, although he only had one run for an unfortunate fifth in a Matamata youthful woman over 1400 m. From the Bay of Plenty Real Estate Agent Ray Johnson in connection with his behind schedule wife Martha, he was bought by his trainer Ralph Manning for 7,750 NZ $ at an online auction before he was later sold to the Hayes family in Australia.
MR Brightside comes from Bullbars, a group three in Flemington, from the Darley mare accessories, which makes him half a brother for helmet and erotic presence.
Mr. Brightside is the only elite class horse that was generated by the unannounced bulls and left the Highview Stud to join the stallion start at the orange Court Stud in South Australia, where he reports before the start of the 2023 coverage.
A win for Ka Ying Rising or MR Brightside would also mark another Recent Zealand Champion for the Hayes family. The honor is impressive – Dulcify (trained by Colin Hayes), Zabeel (Colin, then David Hayes), Mr Brightside (Ben, JD & Will Hayes) and Ka Ying Rising (David Hayes).
