Nothing to lose if Olive pursues a champagne moment

By Ray Hickson

Sizzling LU is the view of group 1, which emerged from nothing and proof of the proverb is that a horse does not know what it costs.

It was of the opinion of the annual sales that Olive prompted to spend $ 30,000 for sizzling LU, and regardless of their performance in the group 1 $ 1 million Moet & Chandon Champagne Stakes (1600 m) at Randwick on Saturday it was a clever step.

It is unbeaten in three starts and already returns $ 139,700, and on the back of her Fernhill victory, which followed victories in Cowra and Albury, there is nothing to lose.

“She did a good job recently and it is a substantial leap into a few starts,” he said.

“If you spend 30 giants, someone think that you buy a group 1 horse, probably put it yourself.

“She was very sporty, a nice, moving foal. I liked that best. I was enthusiastic about another Tagaloa when I arrived for sale, and I looked at her and changed because I liked her more.

“You can't see what is in a horse, what will be a profit and something so arduous to choose that in sales.”

Sizzling LU, on Wednesday, gives a whole profit in the Fernhill.

Olive, whose lonely profit of the group 1 came to the Vinery until nine years ago, said that the Fernhill victory tells him that his stut foal is involved, but he also realizes that the champagne will be a more arduous task.

“I go reserved, but (last week) definitely applied our hopes,” he said.

“You always wonder how the form lines go together, but we knew that it was going well.

“She is undefeated and every time we have brought her to the plate, she has made the challenge so that you can get the trust of it.

“The shape of the sore is the A1 shape and you have to act against it. I don't know where your limit is still, that's the stimulating thing.”

What the Queanbeyan trainer would see is something else that wants to take on running.

While Sizzling LU was able to get control of the Fernhill and get some inexpensive sections, he is firmly convinced that the leadership is not a scenario in which she will produce her best.

“She has been lost the other day, she never really flattened out how we know that she can do it,” he said.

“Rachel (king) said the same that she did it because of raw skills.

“I look forward to seeing them in a race that is going right and I think they will be more effective.

“She will thrive more, she is a arduous thing and I think she is looking for more than a mile.”

The Midnight Affair from Staffen has accepted the Tab -Autobahn (1400 m), although Olive has to wait to see if it is getting a start as a third emergency.

He said that he had preferred a softer barrier, so he had the opportunity to wait for another day because he has the feeling that she has driven exceptionally well since his stable.

The mare was at Bathurst in early March and finished second in their last two starts in Wagga and Dubbo.

“She was very straightforward, she was hit in a few nearby,” he said.

“She was a really good addition to the stable and there are definitely more victories in her.”
