Marcus Melander will bring his stable cable tree racements for 2025 in the Meadowlands on Friday (April 11th), and he will do it with two horses that have started abroad in recent years.
Melander, who has set career height with 104 wins and 6.59 million US dollars in wallets last year, will send Aetos Kronos S (Sendos () (()Fatty eagle) and SIP (Bait) On Friday, 9-year-old Aetos Kronos S was seen in the amount of $ 17,500 conditioned trot, where he spent his entire career overseas, where he conquered three races in group 1 and four groups, while he sanctioned the US equivalent of $ 1.37 million. Six-year-old SIP was a multiple Grand Circuit winner and 2021 Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Champion before spending in Sweden in the past two years.
Aetos Kronos S, a son of Bold Eagle-Will a woman who belonged to Jeff Snyder and Michael Snyder, was trained in overseas by Jerry Riordan. His highlights included the Hakan Wallner Memorial with a world record performance at a distance of 1-5/16 miles at the age of 3. Two years later he was an elitloppet finalist and later this season he annoyed Elitloppet winner Don Fanucci Zet in the Jubilee Pokal (The Jubilee Prize) near Solvalla Racack.
The stallion, who missed time in the years due to a health problem, recently raced in the Prix d'Ama and Prix de France in early 2024 before going to the USA and Melander's stable. Aetos Kronos S presented himself for his North American debut with two qualification players in the Meadowlands and won the second on March 29 with half a long length over SIP in 1:56 and covered the last quarter mile in: 26.4 with Dexter Dunn in Sulky.
“I think he may need one or two starts to get his legs under him, but we were very satisfied with the way he was qualified recently,” said Jeff Snyder. “Hopefully he will come to himself after one or two starts. He needs a little race.
“He is an stimulating horse for us. If he comes back like him, it will be a very engaging season to watch him.”
Melander is looking forward to seeing Aetos Kronos S in action. The stallion will leave the post in the seven-horse field on Friday with Dunn. He is the 3-1 election in the morning line.
“He was a great horse in his entire career,” said Melander. “We were satisfied with his qualifications. He needed two qualifications to become a little tighter and he looked a little sharper in the second. We will see how he races, but he feels good and seems to be cheerful. It will be stimulating to see him. He always tries his best.”
Aetos Kronos S has been stabilized to many top events for older male trans, including Arthur J. Cutler Memorial, Crawford Farms Trot, John Cashman Memorial and Maple Leaf.
“We stuck it to all the open events in which we could put it in,” said Snyder. “It was a bit of a game of chance, but it looks great. He looks fabulous. Let's see what happens. He was a special horse for us. We hope for the best.”
Melander's other participants, SIP, makes his seasonal debut and will have Mattias Melander in Sulky. SIP won eight out of 32 races aged 2 and 3 in North America and earned $ 441,583 while he was in the stable of coach Ron Burke. In addition to his Pennsylvania Sire Stakes title, his victories of the 2022 Aged Oaken Eimer were 1: 51.2 on the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Ohio. The time remains the fastest of all times of a 3-year-old trotter on half a mile.
“Obviously he was a quick 3-year-old and went well for Burke,” said Melander, who trained the stallion for the owner Brixton Medical Inc. and Hatfield Stables. “He had a few decent years in Sweden, and we are cheerful to run him and see what he can do.”
SIP, a son of Bar Hopping-Barbara BrooksPresent will depart four from the post and is 4-1 on the morning line.

“He just qualified, but he drove in October, so he wasn't long away,” said Melander. “I think he will be fine with just one qualification game, but he may need one or two breeds. He is a lovely horse, an candid horse, and he likes his work.”
The 2-1 favorite on Friday on Friday is Chapercraz, who makes his seasonal debut for coach Burke and releases Joe Bongiorno in the Bicycle from Post Five.
Last season, the 5-year-old gelding won the Hambletonian maturity, was second in the spirit of Massachusetts and third in the championship of Cashman, Charlie Hill Memorial and Graduate Series. He deserves $ 1.01 million lifespan.
