Lake Forest & Tom Marquand | Concentrate on race
Jockey Tom Marquand will reunite with William Haggas' Group 2 winner Lake Forest (GB) (No no) in the G1 FWD Champions Mile in Hong Kong on April 27th.
The 4-year-old son of No Nay, who has a winner of the A 10 million dollar Golden Eagle in Rosehill in November, never won the G2 Gimcrack Stakea in York as a teenager and took second place in the G1 Commonwealth Cup in June and July as well as in the G3 Hackwood Stakes, all with Marquand in the Irons. Cieren Fallon was on board the Golden Eagle win for the Lake Forest.
Lake Forest would be the first British winner of the Champions Mile. Christophe Soumillon becomes the French -trained partner Goliath (GER) (Adler flight {ger}) in the G1 Qeii cup, while James McDonald will be on board a Japanese runner Forecast (JPN) (Deep impact {jpn}) in the Qeii cup.
Other international jockeys are on the day of the FWD championship in the saddle day of the four-time four-time Hong Kong champion Jockey Joao “Magic Man” Moreira, the youngest HK derby winner Craig Williams, together with the Australian drivers Damian Lane Damian Lane and Tim Clark, the Japanese duo by Yuga Kawada and in the German-Base and in leading Germany and leading Rider Adrie.
