Success days at Kilbarry Lodge Stud | Morgan Treacy INPHO
It's back. Details have been announced for the hugely popular Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Stallion Trail, set to take place on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th January. Many of the country's top stallion farms are opening to breeders, racing professionals and fans alike.
Charles O'Neill, CEO of ITM, commented: “Around the world, Irish stallions are among the global elite, consistently producing winners in the most demanding racing events on the flat and over jumps. In 2025, the list of Irish stallions will once again be expanded to include further top talent, offering breeders a diverse pool of proven producers, rising stars and attractive adolescent talents for every mare and every budget. The ITM Irish Stallion Trail is always a highlight of the year for breeders and fans alike and we are very grateful to the participating farms for opening their doors and showcasing Ireland's exceptional Thoroughbred breeding industry. Register now via the ITM website and see you on the trail.”
The ITM Irish Stallion Trail is a completely free event. Visitors are simply asked to register which studs they would like to visit on the ITM website. Visitors are then free to visit the stud farms they have selected at a time of their choosing within the stud farms' advertised opening times. Due to demand it is mandatory to register for a specific date and time if you wish to visit Coolmore Stud. Please note that the number of participating studs and available stallions may change due to changing vaccination and quarantine requirements for stallions.
