James Macdonald celebrates the 4,000. victory

Milton, February 28, 2025 -James MacDonald, Canada's four -time defending champion of the year, won 4,000 on Friday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

The inhabitant of Guelph, Ontario, entered the evening only a victory of the 4,000-victory mark.

Macdonald reached the milestone early by winning the second race of the evening with the five-year stimulation of Stuping Mare Firstofanera ($ 11.10) for coach Carmen Auciello.

MacDonald only needed 861 days to switch from 3,000 career winners to 4,000.

After MacDonald had won four in Straight Woodbine Drive title, in 2025 he had another start with 45 victories at Campbellville Oval, which occurred on Friday, 12 more than his next rival in the overall ranking.
