The West Melton coach Andrew Drake didn't have to wait long for racks to break his girls' status.
The three-year betting line, which he also has together, took out the DMJ Builders Anne Thompson degree (Heat 2) Mobile in Rangiora yesterday.
“It's great. We are thrilled with it,” said Drake.
Rack'em Up, driven by Jonny Cox, left four the markers for most of the 2600 m trip. Gaps that were presented when the acid continued and Cox could work in an outstanding position from the fence and won on the line on a neck.
“I didn't want to go back too far, but the run took good care of him,” said driver Jonny Cox.
“We chose the right gap to get out. He did it well.”
It was Rack'em ups first win of just two starts – and yesterday's performance supported the talent, which was shown in the debut in June last year in June last year when the talented Renaldo in Addington ran in second place.
“It took time. His first run was great,” said Drake.
“He showed speed at his first start, but Coxy couldn't control him. So the free time helped.”
There were obvious signs of an improvement that was still available for the massive gelding because it has a lot in stock in the line.

Drake works in the Kentuckiana Lodge for Chrissie and Cran Dalgety.
“I am very content to have him there and it helps to work with them.”
Other highlights of the program were an emotional victory for the driver Gavin Smith in Robert and Jenna Dunn, who was trained until dawn in the Waimakariri shops Rangiora Winter Cup after the tragic death of his good friend Greg Greg Sugars in Tasman.
Both Trotter drives by Anne Thompson series were easily won. Heat One, who was removed by James and Jim Geddes, simply trained, while the trained Paddy McDaddy of Robert and Jenna Dunn achieved a win with eight length, which won the second heat and is hard to defeat on May 18.
