Herbertson performed in Harradelphia and in the Meadowlands in Recent Jersey and was in good company with Expat Aussies and Luke McCarthy and Brad Chisholm in good company as well as with the former Recent Zealander Dexter Dunn, who drove at the meetings.

The 25 -year -old Herbertson was so far in four of his eight trips under the recordboxes – two placements at Harrah's and Two in the Meadowlands on Friday evening.

“He really enjoys it – but he misses his own bike there!” Herbertson's mother Jody from Lexton near ballarate said yesterday.

“On his first trip he got a second placement. Then he followed a third, fourth and a fifth.

“On Friday he drove a double head sport in Harrahs (6th and 8th) and became second and third place in the Meadowlands that night. He was thrilled to pick up an outdoor drive, but I think he was surprised that there were no driver fees there.”

Herbertson will spend a little more than four weeks in the USA in the stable of the leading trainer Ron Burke.

Then he will go to Sweden on May 20, to organize Elitloppet (May 23 to 25 in May) to be organized by coach Jorgen Westholm, who last year recorded another newborn Victorian groove in Ryan Sanderson.

“It is only an incredible opportunity to gain experience and learn as much as possible,” said Herbertson before he went.

Last season, Herbertson with 370 victories, which solved from his next competitors, was a renegade winner of the Australian National Driver's title. He plans to return home in mid -June.
