Havana Gray Fee is listed as a private dog with size restrictions for mares in 2025

Havana Gray (UK)One of Europe's most electrifying adolescent stallions, his fee has been privatized as he prepares for his seventh season at Whitsbury Manor Stud in 2025.

Havana Gray, sire of double Group 1 winner Vandeek (GB) and this year's G2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes winner Arabian Dusk (GB), received a £55,000 fee covering 139 mares this season – up from 164 in 2023 – and his book for the upcoming breeding season will be restricted to mares deemed suitable.

Joe Callan, head of blood breeding and sales at Whitsbury Manor, said: “Although Havana Gray is still very open for business for a restricted number of external mares, we have decided to make his fee private. “This is because of how crucial it is it is to keep his mares in the breeding pen so that they are the right size for him and for his own well-being and continued good fertility.

“After another fantastic year with eleven individual winners and phenomenal yearling sales results, we know demand for him will be high again.”

The fee for Havana Grey's deckmate Presentation (GB) was reduced to £35,000 after covering 114 mares this season at a fee of £45,000. The Karl Burke-trained Swingalong (Ire) was his standard-bearer on the racecourse in 2024, finishing second in three Group 1 sprints in Great Britain, while Showcasing is also the broodmare sire of leading two-year-old filly Lake Victoria (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) .

Sergei Prokofiev After a sturdy start at stud his fee was increased to £8,000 (from £6,000). His first crop of two-year-olds has produced 18 winners in Europe so far, including G3 Marble Hill Stakes scorer and G1 Phoenix Stakes third Arizona Blaze (GB). This season 166 mares were sent to him Dragon symbol (GB)a newcomer to the 2024 Whitsbury Manor squad, covered 140 mares. The fee for the son of Cable Bay (Ireland), who finished first in the G1 Commonwealth Cup, remains £8,000.
