Laurence Hanrahan Laurence Hanrahan from Ashburton Havess does not expect the world from his two runners in Ashburton today – but expect good runs.
In race 1, the Mobile Pace Elite Styx (7.50ff) of the Ashburton Trotting Club members will get out with Gerard O'reilly for their first run in the Hanrahan colors.
Elite Styx has not driven Grant Payne since Grant Payne's training, but has won a trial against Hanrahan since April 22.
“I've had her for a while now,” says Hanrahan.
The six-year-old betting mare won five starts from 47 starts for former coaches Greg Payne before moving.
“She won a process, but broke no records.
“You will definitely benefit from the run. It is a good starting point for a modern campaign.”
Further chances at the event are the fresh $ 1.95ff master music champion and Tim Williams for coach Steve and Amanda Telfer, during the second favorite about -stroke -akt -akt ($ 5.00ff) for coach Mark Jones, driven by Samantha Ottley, will be in battle.
Race 6 will take the junior driver in Newland's Auto Electrical Mobile Tempo over 1700 m with Bautista ($ 6.00) for Olivia Thornley and Hanrahan.
Four-year art Major Wallach drove very well in this campaign, but today his biggest test seems to be pulled on the outside of the front over 1700 m.
“It will definitely not be straightforward,” said Hanrahan.
“1700 m around Ashburton is difficult with a vast long road. So we can let the fireworks happen and wait for our shot.”
Other chances at the event are Race Favorit Rockingood ($ 3.00ff) for the driver Seth Hill, who is exposed to Father Brendon Hill for the first time before the class rise, while Carbon (6.50ff) will try to keep the shield that is too stable.
