Gina Schumacher and All Right Magnum win the Run For A Million Non-Pro title

Kicking off the massive events at the Run For A Million on August 14 was the Non Pro Championship, where 51 competitors competed in the $50,000 reining competition. When the dust settled, Gina Schumacher and her 2014 chestnut gelding All Right Magnum were in the lead with a score of 222 and took home $14,220.

Schumacher, of Gordonville, Texas, has earned over $1.7 million. She has won the European Futurity, the Italian Derby, NRHA Futurity Co-Champion and Champion titles, multiple 100X Reining Classic titles, consecutive NRBC Non Pro Classic championships and placed third in The Run For A Million's 2023 Million Dollar Reining Challenge.

She has been with All Right Magnum (Magnum Chic Dream x All The Right Motion x Wimpys Little Step) since the beginning. He was bred by her mother Corinna Schumacher of Givrins, Switzerland and is owned by her family's ranch, XCS Ranch LLC, in Gordonville.

“Roo” has $69,597 LTE, according to EquiStat, including winnings from the $100,000 Non Pro Shootout with Schumacher at the 100X Cowtown Classic last May.

The Run For A Million Strategy

“I chose him [for the Non Pro Championship] because he is a great show horse and very consistent,” said Schumacher. “He is very sweet, but very sensitive. His mind in the show pen is incredible.”

Schumacher brought several horses to the Run For A Million, but her strategy with Roo was plain: keep the same routine and do her part.

“I try to present my horse as well as possible and not make any mistakes,” said Schumacher. “Everything went according to plan.”

Schumacher and Roo were last in the block, but their pattern was remarkable. Thanks in part to their great stops, the pair scored 222 points and definitely took the title.

“I'm very ecstatic,” said Schumacher. “It's always thrilling to win, especially this time because it's my first win in this class. I want to say a massive thank you to our team.”

Allison Thorson and Pale Lithe finished as reserve with a score of 220 and earned $8,656. The 2018 palomino stallion (Pale Face Dunnit x Luz Del Conquistador x Conquistador Whiz) was bred by BS Syndicate of Scottsdale, Arizona, and is owned by Thorsport Inc of Sandusky, Ohio.
