When the two-time O'Brien winner Logan Park made his European debut in Elitloppet 2025 in about eight weeks, he will have a familiar part of hands during the controls.
Trot insider confirmed that the driver Doug McNair will take the trip to Sweden in May to drive Logan Park Elitloppet in 2025.
“I would say it is one of – if not the greatest – standard bred race in the world. It is a substantial deal and a substantial thrill to be part of it.”
McNair previously competed in Sweden during the World Drive Championship 2019 and finished fourth overall and only 10 points in front of the entire leader Rick Ebbgee. For his career, McNair plays 4,771 victories and almost 89 million US dollars in wasting.
At the end of 2022, McNair received the driving job behind Logan Park and the tandem was very successful. In total, Logan Park has a 22-4-2 summary in 37 starts with McNair on the controls.
Co -owner Rob Fellows also confirmed that McNair was divided in an interview with the driver Logan Park with the driver Logan Park Solvalla racetrack Last Thursday (March 20).
“I'm a pretty faithful guy. Doug McNair made him most of his career … he may not have driven him [this year] in Dayton and Lexington and his first start in the Meadowlands – where he was good. Then dexter [Dunn] Had to take his commitment and I got Doug back.
“It is very challenging for me to ask me [Doug] To school and qualify and run it ready to hand over the lines to someone else. I don't want my owners to say: “Hey, we were invited to the eliteloppet, we give this horse better this coach – he is a better coach.” You want to go with the person who brought you to the talent in which he is located. “
And this talent is certainly world class. A son of Archangel – Rite Outa the Park, Logan Park Sport A sign of 1: 49.2 makes him the fastest Canadian trotter of all times with 36 wins and more than $ 2 million in purses for coaches Kyle Fellows and owners from the Stall of Rockwood, Reg Higgs from Blenheim and Arpad Szabo from Bradford, ont.
“He is pretty much the race at the moment,” added Fellows in an update of his Star Trotter. “I will probably qualify him in a few weeks. I worked backwards from the 25th [of May]. As soon as I know my aircraft flights, I will try to get a schedule for the race. I want to drive it two or three times before I get there. “
