Tuesday Josh Dickies could be time to shine in Manawatu.

Josh Dickie

Raceway had installed modern lights last week and will be exhibited for the first time tonight and Thursday.

The project cost around $ 300,000 and was coordinated by Andrew Neal and the member/trainer Stephen Doody from the local committee, Stephen Doody, with the club's funds, the Racing Safety Fund and the Central Energy Trust resident in Manawatu.

Dickie has seven trips that day, six of them for his employer Stonewall Stud and coach Steve and Amanda Telfer.

“I know all horses from back to the front,” says Dickie.

“It looks a good book on paper, but you always need a little luck.”

And Dickie believes that his “Best of the Day” could be in the first, the race on Thursday, May 1st Mobile Tempo (4.10 p.m.) with Captains Secret.

“He is a clever little horse that is well suited for this race. It looks.”

The Captains Secret, a one-race winner (from 8 starts), was the eighth eighth in a Garrards Sires Stakes 3yo Semi-Finals against the Betals-Anvil, Fettnin and got the chocolates.

As a result, he opened a favorite of $ 2.30 for his Palmerston North debut.

Next, Cyamate, who has been in Ecstatic Birthday Melissa Lammas Mobile, has been coming up, who has been in Race 2 at the debut in Cambridge last May.

“He came back well, he tested Puke (Pukekohe) a week or two ago and he did a little work and was tired tardy.”

He pulled six in the seven-horse field.

“It is better suited for speed, so it is not bad. It also looks good there.”

The wonderful chic is another fresh second place for the Telfers in Race 3, the mobile pace Mike and Cleone Lyons. She won twice, most recently in Manawatu in November.

“She is a practical stut foal and has a high speed,” says Dickie, “she has a good Furlong and if you can utilize it at the right time, I think I think.”

With three seconds in his last three starts, Iron Brigade in races 4 looks another great hope, the dazzling Lights Country Cup Handicap Tempo.

“You cannot accuse this form line.”

“At the last stand he was second to the surf – he is currently growing at the moment.”

“He is a TOP -Two chance that can win.”

In races 7 Partners Partners with Heavenly Belle in race 7, the Tracy Cadwaller Stables Handicap Power. It's just your second start after a fifth in the debut.

“She didn't have a test version, but had solid work at home, so fitness shouldn't be a problem.”

“She usually has good manners and likes to be arduous at 30 (meters) that could make it arduous.”

In the debut in the last race 8 (7:33 p.m.), SS Gupy is a mobile pace in the Thanks Kids Kartz.

“He is a bit green, but has a nice draw and it is a winnable race.”

As a Captain Crunch three-year-old, he was a purchase of $ 46,000 in the 2022 National Standard Bred Disproportion

And if you are curious about the name, SS Gupy is the ship and home of Cap'n Crunch and his crew. The ship offers in many commercials and goods for the Cap'n crunch range of the breakfast cereals.
