The southwestern Victorian wiring harness racing separator Matt Craven will go home tonight (May 11th) with the electrical Ouyen depth of the GREGG in its attitude.
The $ 12th, trained by Craven, crime writer (Sports journalist) was too good in the $ 12,000 function and scored four and a half meters for the newborn concession driver Hannah Lewis. It was a Quinella result for the stable with the newborn Bluey favorites from Race-on-Race driven by Craven, which reached an unfortunate second.
Teenage Bluey looked in the last phase with the kind permission of a Pearler a trip from Craven.
Craven did back to hang from the unfavorable barrier 12, put the newborn Bluey in one and a half laps from home and reach the lead for the bell after lifting into the backrest.
Teenage Bluey seemed to be victory, but the five-year-old threw the script away in the home curve, galloped for a few steps and went awkward, just before she was going home.
Crime writer repetition
But there were no difficult feelings, with craven Lewis giving a congratulations with a fist bump when they moved in after the race.
It was the eighth victory in the low career of 22-year-old Lewis and her greatest victory to date, who came in a country cup feature in her first trip.
“Mattie was a massive thrill. Mattie was really ecstatic – but maybe not quite as ecstatic as if he had won!” An enthusiastic Lewis joked.
Lewis, a pony club girl who fell in love with the believer, found her feet for the Mattie Craven – Amy Day Stall near Terang.
“I think you could say I got to make belt horses and I didn't look back,” she said.
“I just love it. Everyone is so supportive, everyone speaks to everyone and they are so inviting. If you have a question, you can ask someone and if you don't know the answer, you will refer you in the right direction.
“I can't thank Mattie and Amy enough to give me the opportunity to drive a horse of this caliber. Not many people are willing to give them such opportunities and they only want the best for me.
“Also the owners Pam and Tony (Coniglio) that I trusted myself to drive with the Mitch, especially in a race like this – I have now achieved a few victories with him, but that's by far the best.”

The nine -year -old criminal author has now won 15 races (33 placements) of 124 starts and exceeded a quarter of a million dollars in missions.
“He just continues and gives 110 percent in every run. He always does everything right and he is just a pleasure to drive a horse,” she said.
Lewis worked at the beginning of Barrier Five before moving crime writer into the one-out one-back position and then threw her time at the start of the house when Craven worked to bring the newborn Bluey back into a corridor.
“I'm going to the Mount Gambier a bit, so this (769 meters) track is similar, but a little tighter,” said Lewis.
“It feels surreal to win this victory, but my mother and I had a little joke yesterday – that her favorite mother's day gift if I gained this trophy. So ecstatic Mother's Day, mother!”
