The security and well -being of horses are of the greatest importance for the British race.
Before the Grand National Festival, we produced a compact film to highlight the existing measures to ensure that every runner looks at the best possible condition and receives the highest standard for care and support.
Here Sally Taylor, BHA boss of the horse regulation, security and well -being, and Amy Hawthorn, Bha veterinary officer, lead through the steps that were taken for each horse on the Aintree racing track, including:
-exams before the race.
– Submission and analysis of medication records.
– Monitoring of horses during and after the race.
