Heavenly eagle was bred twice from the Bloodstock border and was tested twice against Tony Pike in Modern Zealand before joining the Brown Camp.
Jockey Luke Cartwright, the younger brother of Matt Cartwright, who really made a name for himself this season in Modern Zealand, was pleased to win for the Browns.
“I had Stephen Brown Jnr's voice in mind and told me I shouldn't go too early because he has a really good turn of the foot overdue,” said Catrwight.
“I listened to him and pressed the button when the time was right and he was perfectly coordinated and did the work overdue.
“I am thrilled because it is my first Saturday winner.
“Browny (Stephen Brown) has supported me since the day and he was always there for me. He is a great person for whom he can drive. He is really cross and I know this guy, I have already won him on him, and he said today to keep it in midfield and press the button if he feels right.
“I will just work challenging and hopefully I can continue to collect the winners, whether it is in the country or in the city. It should lead to a nice winter for me.”
