The latest list of King reflects the results of three qualification points that were held last weekend and looks at the Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby on March 8.
Take a look at the Triple Crown page of America's best racing to stay up to date on stories and statistics on the way to the Kentucky Derby.
1. Sovereignty
For the first time since winning the Street Sense Stakes on October 27th and as a deceased runner, who competed over a compact route in the Gulfstream Park with 1 1/16 miles, he looked at some obstacles in the Coolmore fountain of the youth missions on March 1st. He cleared her and gathered at the opposition with a last sixteenth in: 6.30 a.m. His last time of 1: 43.12 was pointed and confirmed his season presence on the derby.
2. Journalism
The dozen of the sovereignty apply is tight and this 3-year-old on the west coast is balmy on the heels. Similar to the winners of dual -classified inserts, they are around two curves with further upward trend compared to longer distances. He ran quickly with the DK Horse San Felipe Stakes on Saturday in Santa Anita Park and covered 1 1/16 miles in 1: 42.24 with one conclusion in: 06.11. Weight -conscious handicapers should note that he wore £ 124, four pounds more than Barnes and the other starters.
3. Citizen Bull
Although coach Bob Baffert decided to expose him from the San Felipe, this is not a concern with the reigning 2-year-old champion man and the 2024 Fanduel Breeders' cup teenage people from Taa winner. As was reflected in Santa Anita Park last Saturday morning in Santa Anita Park in 1: 00.60 at 1:00 a.m., he did not miss a beat with his training. Only two teenage winners won the Kentucky derby Die Street Sense (2006-07) and Nyquist (2015-16).
4. Chance McPatrick
Last year the Chancer McPatrick won the hopeful missions and champagne stakes before it disappointed sixth in BC. Although champagne runner won the derby 23 times, only Super Saver won the 2010 derby after taking part in the champagne. As for the hopeful missions, I will have another who is a single hopeful starter to win the derby this century, and this in 2012.
5. Barnes
After the talented barnes, Jockey Juan Hernandez set the talented barnes in San Felipe from: 23.71 and: 47.31 to inflate the race by asking his holder to distance himself from the pack. Barnes accelerated and opened all those who followed him in the second round, but he became a little tired in the route to make up for the second journalism, and tardy 1 ¾ length in his first route. He led a career-best-equibase speed of 107 in the defeat, but his fading-together with his powerfully built physical make-up-up raises doubts about his endurance.
6. Coal battle
He does not have the massive step of the two derby users, but he is nimble and can accelerate. This was shown in the rebel railway on February 23, when he accelerated from the fifth to follow the guide Madaket Road and to put the rest of the field. Then he carried this rival down and the stretch scouts from Closer were overdue. The Arkansa's derby of March 29 is probably next, even though coach Lonnie Briley keeps his options open.
7. Burnham Square
The winner of the Holy Bull Stakes was put under pressure by Jockey Edgard Zayas in the fountain of the youth to try to capture sovereignty in the curve. Burnham Square couldn't do it, but he continued to grind and crossed the wire in the fourth place and struck three lengths. “He still learns. It looked like he wasn't going anywhere. But suddenly when I brought him back to the outside, he really resumed it, ”said Zayas.
8. Sandman
Although he broke much better in the rebel than the Southwest Stakes, he was further away from the pace when coach Mark Casse hoped that he would be. Sandman remained 13 lengths over the first half mile of the rebel and started with a overdue rally to take third place and hit 1 ¾ lengths. Casse believes that Sandman, a purchase of $ 1.2 million as a teenager, will estimate an additional sixteenth of a mile in the 1 1/8 mile derby in Arkansas.
9. River Thames
Some of the leading descendants of MacLeans music such as Jackies Krieger, the clock and the complexity were highly effective sprinter and miler. Let us not forget that one of the sons of MacLeans music, cloud computing, which Preakness Stakes won 2017 at 1 3/16 miles. The swift river Thaames gives the impression of painting routes. Although he was caught by sovereignty in the fountain of the youth, he lost a miniature focus that approached the wire and pressed an ear forward before reacting to the climb of this rival too overdue.
10. Built
Although this was awarded to the level when he was in third place on February 15 on February 15th in third place on February 15th, it was a solid effort. He made a second gymnastics offer to go according to the victorious size (now failed), and when it turned it aside, he might have discouraged. Regardless of this, the risen star was controversial in the blazing period. A follow-up work on February 27th in Novel Orleans indicates that he is on the right track for the Louisiana Derby on March 22nd.
11. Hill Road
The breeding cup of teenage people Race Flow favored speed horses. Citizen Bull and Gaming were 1-2 around the track, and the Getaway car in fourth place was also nearby. The Longshot Hill Road was the only horse that made up the meaningful floor and, after two earlier starts on lawn in Ireland, made a third place in his debut of the United States. Now that when he trains in Florida, he will probably enter Tampa Bay Derby, the fresh coach Chad Brown told Daily Racing Form, although Brown recognized that the Colt could possibly be a few work before the desired fitness.
12. Flood zone
After a private purchase, he started his first start for coach Brad Cox in March 1st. After a private purchase, he stretched out a lot from 6 ½ Furlongs to a mile to defeat the swift Sand devil trained in Novel York by 3 ¼ lengths. It is obviously talented, although the Gotham was a race with a U -turn and the derby is only two months away. If the flood zone, which is bred by more distance, competes in one of the last derby preparations at 1 1/8 miles, it would only have one two-gymnastics race ahead of the Kentucky Derby.
