On May 25, it was announced that Belgian Ann Fonck will replace Dominik Reminder as a European qualifier for the 2024 million dollar competition “The Run For A Million” (TRFAM).
According to a social media post, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the qualified rider for the 2024 Run For A Million – Million Dollar Reining Challenge at Equita Lyon 2023 in Lyon, France has changed.”
The Million Dollar Contest at The Run For A Million is confined to sixteen riders who had to qualify at one of three events during the 2023-2024 show season: 2023 TRFAM, Las Vegas, NV (5 riders), 2023 Equita Lyon, Lyon France (1 rider) and 2024 Cactus Reining Classic, Scottsdale, AZ (10 riders). These riders will have the opportunity to compete in this once-in-a-lifetime competition with a $1 million purse, with the champion receiving $500,000. The event is NRHA Category 13-approved.
