Gitten's time split his time between Assiniboia Downs and Woodbine last year and will probably do the same this year. He was in Woodbine this week and prepared horses for a number of Manitoba owners, and he also raises horses for the leading owner of Canada Bruno Schickedanz. Gittens won nine races in Woodbine and 21 races in Assiniboia Downs last year, where he took fifth place in the overall ranking.

Katie Morris and Beth Penton Top Breoms were also in action in the background. Morris works for coach Mike Taphorn, while Penton works for coach Wendy Anderson.
