Les White in the hope of going one after the other

For a purchase of 2,800 US dollars, Les White is quite enthusiastic about it Auckland reactor Wallach could enhance its income in Cambridge in Cambridge today.

'Jack', as he is known, was bought by White from Gavelhouse last June and a striking appearance was used up in December to win in Alexandra Park with one half of 57.3 with a 5¾ length edge in Alexandra Park.

“It was just so unexpected, he is so relaxed and he hadn't felt a substantial feeling in his work,” says White. “He had an attempt to lead and he ran a very distant fourth, I thought, no what I actually bought.”

“And then to go up there and win almost 6 lengths and go 2:41, I was really a bit devoured.”

In order to make the moment more special, White's first victory in Alexandra Park in his 38-year career.

Since then, Bettor Reaction has had six starts, including two seconds and a last start victory in Cambridge on April 22.

“I don't train a lot of horses and every win feels very special.”

His chance of going back with Bettor Reaction will be from the route of Food and Bev Mobile Temp (6:24 p.m.), where he is a second favorite behind the Barry Purdon and Scott Phelan-trained WON and only.

To make things a bit uncomfortable, he drew seven.

“He has the speed of leading from there,” says White, “but I think his best choice would be to keep out of the race early and take a step.”

As usual this week with his son Matthew White, it will be a family matter in the bike and Les could not be more satisfied with how he has driven lately.

“I am very proud of how he works. He didn't have it straightforward and it was a real sum to see it so well.”

White is also grateful for the assist he receives from the Cambridge trainer Arna Donnelly.

“If I couldn't work with their horses, I would just fight away and work them together, it is really advantageous, it really makes them lift them.”

White is a time figure around the Cambridge Raceway. He admits that he has become a “part of the landscape” and spends his morning with Donnelly's assist.

As for Bettor's reaction, he has a good feeling for the six -year -old, who has now won three out of 33.

“I think he could win two or three more.”
