Former Illinois Horse of the Year who wants to relax

Hinsdale, IL – It was often said that as a trainer or owner of a standard bred racing horse with its ups and downs and bumps can be compared on a roller coaster ride. A typical example is the former Illinois belthorse of the Year's goal, who heard Dennis Gardner and who also shared a gigantic part of the training of the talented trotter.

The Cassis In 2022, gelding from the Muscle Hill-mare Sheeza Muscle Girl had a spectacular 2-year strapping season that took first or second place in nine of his 12 starts and earned $ 120,125 for its owner.

As a 3-year-old Goomster, it was even better to win 16 out of 21 excursions, to achieve a 1: 52.4 mark in Springfield and to banish $ 158,084. He was the “King of the Hill” of the Prairie State's no-toofage-it state.

The speech of Illinois Gurtness Racing Circuit is expected to take up more good numbers at the age of four, and although he did not have a shadowy year, the horse's record of three victories, one second, two thirds and considerable wallet money at 34,841 US dollars must be described as disappointing.

Goomster won an open 3 event in Hoosier Park last spring and an open 1 competition in Hawthorne in October. However, he left the stride and ended the route in the Plesac final of Night of Champions and ended his 2024 campaign without ending a few conditioned trotting.

Goomster has not driven since then.

“We think that Goomster was occupied in the stable last year” and may have injured themselves, “said Gardner.

A horse applies to those who are thrown with the term “a horse” and why it is a problem for rider if it subsides and cannot get his feet up to get up. It is often due to capture on a wall or in a narrow room. The situation can be scary because the inability of a horse can lead to solemn health problems or injuries.

It seems that Goomster avoided critical health problems.

“I gave him all the time that he might need. He is in training and he looks like his antique me. He was really good,” said Gardner.

“We are back from the start for about three weeks. We had a lot of rain down here (in South Illinois), and the training of my horses has completed about a week.”

During the sensational 3-year-old campaign by Gooomster, Gardner handed over the training tasks to the Seekans and the least, the step turned out very well. The trotter dominated the opposition pretty much and won eight more races, seven with Travis in his grumpy, to get the title as No. 1 -Gurthorse in Illinois for 2023.

“I and Travis have become very good friends,” continued Gardner. “We fished together and even bought some horses together.

“If these colts do not turn out to be good, it is Travis' to blame,” added a laughing Gardner.
