The Leeton coach Peter Clancy brings the victory over Bold Triumph on the post with his first Coprice Leeton Cup on his home route since 2014 with his first Coprice Leeton Cup with Jockey Josh Richards.
At 55 kg, the Mayfair Hotel came down the interior of the field after being in the row with a huge run and fell on the post to beat the 2.50 Dollar favorite in the 14,000 dollar -Benchmark 58 handicap over 1600 m.
The five -year mare paid $ 7 for victory and had her 23rd start for owners Peter Clancy, son Greg and daughter Tanya Irvin. The Mayfair Hotel covered the 1600 m in 1.35.17 with the last 600 m in 36.4. Last year's Leeton Cup winner Jayzeal was fourth.
The victory was a special for Jockey Josh Richards as a former apprentice of Peter and his overdue wife Nerrida.
The brave triumph is trained by Craig Widdison in Wodonga and was driven by the apprentice Amy O'driscoll with 50 kg. In third place in 1.11 lengths was Kerma Art, trained by Gary Colvin, Wagga Wagga and Carly Frater.

Clancy's Sona Lodge Stable also achieved a second in the Lanhams Jewelers/PSP Transport -Maiden plate over 1150 m, with Izablonde being started with another former Clancy apprentice John Kissick in the saddle. The four-year-old mare assumed $ 2.50 and was beaten by the overtoux trained by Marcus O'Connor.
The cup victory was welcomed with a roar of appreciation of the local quantity and was reached with the stable reaching of a third place in the last race of the day with the six -year -old gelding Jeddyla by Josh Richard.

“She jumps with them, but is always on the corner. We will see another 1600 -M race for her and she likes the humid. It was something special to win the trophy -there is nothing better at home.”
Greg said that Izablonde would be hired in Wagga or Albury for a maid of 1200 m or 1400 m within the next fourteen days.
“Izablonde had heard her first start-to-sie, Fay Boots, the wife of one of our long-time owners and breeders David Boots,” he said.
John Kissick started the day in dominant form and brought Cassimir to the Hotondo Homes/Milbrae concrete and quarries in a time of 59.09 for Wagga trainer Rodger Waters. The Brittany button on Kool Kat was a length for Benalla coach Olivia Osborne, while 3.16 lengths in third place by Shane Bloomfield Rockbarton Fashion from the apprentice Ella McGuirk.
The shape continued for Kissick and achieved his second victory in the Leeton Hotel/Yenda Producers Benchmark 50 Handicap over 1150 m. Tycoon Artie was trained by Doug Gorrel in Wagga and wore 61.5 kg and covered the distance in 1.06.81. The four -year -old gelding had its 23rd start and had a third on April 19 at Tocumwal over 1100 m.
Brittany Button piloted second place and 3.45 lengths in third place, flight deck, driven by Amy O'driscoll and trained by Cindy Brander, Mildura.
The apprentice Amy O'driscoll had a good day in Leeton and brought Overoux home to win the virgin in a time of 1.05.86 for the Wangaratta coach Marcus O'Connor over 1150 m. The four-year-old mare had her 26th start, had ceded a fifth in Kilmore on April 5 and defeated the local favorite icing in 1.12 lengths. Third was the Doug Gorrel, trained gold candle with Apprentice Violet Soulsby in the saddle.
Quarantine dreams with 59 kg, which covered the 1600 m in the last race of the day, Symtek Electrical/Leeton Toyota Class 1 and Maiden Plate, in 1.36.67 under jockey Justin Stanley. The seven -year -old gelding was trained by Dan McCarthy in Wangaratta and had his 25th start with the progress in the distance. Three Earls, trained by Chris Davis, Seymour and Amy O'DrisColl, was 1.4 lengths away a second, while 1.42 lengths in third place were Peter Clancy -trained Jeddyla.
Grant Fitzsimon, President of Leeton Jockey Club, said the route that is a good 3 and the terrain in great condition and praised coaches and jockeys.
Mr. Fitzsimon said that a mighty amount had enjoyed the picnic atmosphere with Marques on the lawn and the participants in a complete program from fashions on the field to Canberra and Wangaratta.
He said the meeting was well supported with 63 acceptance of coaches to Seymour, Mildura, Tumut, Benalla and Swan Hill.
