The race brought together a quality group of mares, which was led by the brilliant West Australian Steno and which began a toasty favorite due to its rod amount. Her driver Jocelyn Juvenile was able to endure the leadership of Tay Tay.

Pandaia showed speed early, but her driver Ashleigh Delosa was able to sit back in fourth place. The Victorian mare Sweetnikilou had the work outside the leader, but Steno put a quick pace in the lead.

Steno seemed to hold Tay Tay, who looked a threat, but she was able to win Pandaia's finishing burst, who won with Tay Tay third with Tay Tay in front of Sweetnikilou. Mainly due to the bladder speed defined by Steno, the mileage rate was 1.50.5

Delosa has had a remarkable success since the beginning of a few years ago and now she has 159 victories, including two successes of group 1. As tough workers, she deserves the respect of coach Rickie Allchin, who entrusted her to drive Pandaia.

In the winning, Pandaia will automatically win a start in the 200,000 dollar Queen Elizabeth Mile in the 200,000 US dollar in Menangle Park.

Steno, who had her first start for over five weeks, will undoubtedly be better for the run and she still appears as a leading candidate to Queen Elizabeth.

The other striking run was the courageous effort of Sweetnikilou, who had made a power of working outside the leader, and yet it ended only four meters behind the winner.

The mares have another opportunity to qualify for Queen Elizabeth when Club Menangle is staged the Robin Dundee Stakes the next Saturday evening.
