All thoroughbreds based in Great Britain can now be registered with Ror
The retraining of the racing horses (ROR) has announced updated admission criteria with which all thoroughbred for races are bred worldwide, but are located in Great Britain free of charge.
Previously, only horses who had driven with a licensed trainer or were in training had entitled to register. It is to be hoped that this change that involves those horses that have never included in the training will improve the traceability of horses in the racing industry.
Such horses can now be registered under a newly created “NT” (not in training), but must have an official racing pass from an internationally recognized stud book. However, Ror will not open his competitive series for thoroughbreds that were not in training even though this situation is checked.
David Catlow, Managing Director of Ror, said: “The extended authorization of Ror to register with Ror to register our persistent commitment to securing the well-being of all former racing horses, including the thoroughbred bred, which were selected for the race, as in the 2024-2026 ROR strategy.
