The market is further

Ocala, Fl-in the third session of the spring sale of Ocala Breeders from 2-year-olds in training sales may have part of the shine of the second session, in which six million dollars were produced, but more than with a sturdy day of the results, in order to drive the three-day average average on the record average in the 2024 auction.

For the session, 144 heads for $ 21,806,500 for an average of $ 151,434 and a median of $ 80,000. In three out of four sessions, 482 horses have achieved $ 68,940,000 for an average of $ 143,029 to 9.9% compared to the cumulative record record of the last year from $ 130,149. The three-day median of $ 65,000 remains just below the record number of $ 70,000 last year.

From 906 catalogized land, 591 have undergone the ring, whereby 109 did not achieve their reserves for a surrender set of 18.4%.

A stallion foal from Uncle Mo was the only seven-digit offer of the session that sold to Ramiro Restrepos Marquee Bloodstock for $ 1.3 million, but seven horses for $ 500,000 or more, compared with just one at the third session in 2024. Three out of four days sold 26 horses for $ 500,000 or more.

Uncle Mo's son was the eighth of achieving $ 1 million or more in the spring sale of 2025, and all of the eight were Colts. Ned Toffey, Manager of Donor Farm, has underbidied in most valued colts.

“I think, from our narrow little view, as a buyer at this sale, it was extremely competitive,” said Toffey. “But we had a fairly petite, elite list. We are looking for horses who have a stallion stallion. We bought a stut foal, but in general we are looking for stallion types of colts. These are horses that are physically physical, and with regard to their Breezes are the Breezes.

Toffey agreed to enhance the prevalence of stallion partnerships in annual sales to enhance demand for horses that create 2-year sales.

“I think that what we have seen in recent years since there have been more purchase activities in the annual sales that there are fewer such horses here,” said Toffey. “And many of these types of stallion potentines come from the market. Then the number is that is so much less and everyone ends up on these few and they will have very, very sturdy prices. They would like to see a few more from them here and that could spread the money a little.”

When Toffey looks at the overall market in Ocala this week, I added: “I think from a broader perspective after they have come by this species [of colts]There is a little more fall than what we would like to see. I am sure that the stock exchange and the current uncertainty will likely lead to some people offset this sale. I would like to see a little more depth, but it is quite sturdy at the highest level. “

The OBS Spring Sale ends with a last session on Friday. The bid begins at 10:30 a.m.

“The work of the colts was quite spectacular,” said Restrepo. “It was quite obvious to return there and watch the game band several times that he probably had the best breeze in sales. I physically love the medium-sized Uncle Mos. He is a very powerful stallion.”

The Colt is trained by Gustavo Delgado, Sr., and Restrepo together with his son and deputy coach Gustavo Delgado, Jr.

“He has all parts and he is of Uncle Mo,” said the younger Delgado. “They look at the gallop-outs and everything and he looked very strongly.”

The Colt was bought in the name of a group of existing partners and some people in the game.

“It is a group of some of our existing partners who were wild and some up-to-date people in the yacht racing world,” said Restrepo. “You like the competition, so you jump into horse racing.”

Restrepo made a suitable offer of $ 1.3 million to acquire at last year's OBS March Sale Mgisp goods (flatter).

Delgado laughed at congratulations on buying the stallion.

“We are elated to have it,” he said. “Of course we have to talk again in a year. All say congratulations. But congratulations to Eddie Woods and the guy who sold him should be.”

The guy who sold him was an experienced Bloodstock agent Steve Teenage, who still processed the highest price he had ever sold for Thursday afternoon.

“It's so fresh that it is not yet set up,” said Teenage. “I think you have an enormous horse for the money. I know as much about this specific horse as everyone else, and there is nothing that prevents him from being a super horse.”

Cacciatora, which was used by coach Steve Klesaris for 7,000 US dollars in 2020, from her last career start in Gulfstream, had sold a Stutfalen from Uncle Mo for $ 320,000 at Keeland September 2023. In January she produced a stallion foal by Uncle Mo and was withdrawn to Practical Witz.

From the father of the Colt, who died last December, Teenage said: “God bless Uncle Mo. because I really loved him.” @Jessmartinitdn

“I love the stallion foal as an individual,” said Asmussen. “Macleans music was wonderful for me. I also had Blue Devil. So it is a person I love. I loved his breeze. Only very elated Kaleem was ready to buy him.”

“He chose me,” continued Marquez, which initially moved to Colt in Kentucky last year. “His behavior as he went.”

Calienten-Fuchbluts, now in her third year as a sender, have a up-to-date flood mark when Marquez admitted that the Colt was the most exorbitant horse he had ever sold.

Marquez said of the price: “I knew he would be something special, but that's up there. It's incredible.”

The son of MacLeans music marked the fourth six -figure sales for his sender this week. Caliente -Füllbluts sold a son of resentment (hip 174) for 450,000 US dollars of Myracehorse during the opening session on Tuesday.

“The market was up and down this week,” admitted Marquez. “But a good horse will sell and I am elated with all my results overall.” -@sgreimtdn
