Country Championships Hero know that after his fight victory at the 1 -million dollar function at Randwick, Thyelf will go back to the stakes race.
In a close degree, Jockey Aaron Bullock got everything from the four-year-old when he stumbled to Fukubana in third place in Lisztomania with 1: 1/4 length.
Messara, who summarizes with Leah Gavranich, had some concerns that he spent the night in the final of the Evergreen Turf Country Championships at 1400 m after winning on his home route on massive soil.
Aaron Bullock celebrates his last victory in Know Thyelf (picture: Bradley photos) his country championship final.
“It seems a bit selfish, but I thought the Scone Cup could be a good one,” said Messara.
“Exactly down the street, we don't have to travel for something or worry about it. A listed race at Scone I think the Scone Cup would be a nice transition race for him.”
I know that Thyelf had been Messara and Gavranich's great country championship candidate for a long time, given her chase hunt for black guys with blue-looded mare Clear Thinking, and he said that it was as satisfactory for his assistant coach as he was.
At the end of his three -year season, he finished third in Group 3 Winx Guineas (1600 m) and missed the spring that was sent to the championship path.
“This is a plan that we laid down a long time ago. You often can't get away, so nice to see it cheerful today,” he said.
“We are cheerful for our team, especially for Leah, who drives him every day who is my training partner.
“She treats this horse like a Labrador. She feeds him all the time, so very cheerful for her and the entire team and the Ladbrokes team, who were a great supporter of the stable, and this may probably be the greatest victory so far.
“So fabulous for your team, and I couldn't be happier.”
For Bullock, a victory in the final of the Country Championship is something that he has sought for a long time, and the fact that he has worked strenuous to drive with 56.5 kg talks about his view of Know Thyelf.
The victory clearly meant much too Bullock, who said he was higher than winning the National Jockeys Premiership a few years ago.
“I would not be on these horses here if it weren't for John and Paul (Messara),” said Bullock.
“Today they had confidence in me to let him run over (one kilogram). I don't drive these weights often.
“Everything was worth it. It's just good to win the victory. I have 12 qualification rophies at home, so I can finally add a finale to the trophy cabinet. Very cheerful.”
It is the third time that a Wild Card Victor won the final of the Country Championship to Artlee in the first year and 2019 Noble Boy.
