The Virginia Derby Was added to the street to the Kentucky Derby Slate of Qualifying Races for 2025 and moved from a delayed summer lawn on the colonial downs racing calendar to a March preparation for the first jewel of the Triple Crown. 1. Visit card (15-1 Morgenline profit chances): In his last three starts, including the two attempts against the Stakes competition. A quick pace would facilitate the chances of seam.

JOCKEY: Luan Machado; TRAINER: Mike Maker

2. John Hancock (3-1): The unbeaten Sam F. Davis Stakes winner was flattered when the runner-up came back from this race, Owen Allmächerter, to dominate the Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby on March 8. John Hancock will be exposed to pressure for early lead, but looks impressive.

JOCKEY: Mike Smith; TRAINER: Brad Cox

3. American Promise (12-1): Better than he showed in a disappointing fifth place in the Fasig-Tipton Stern Stakes. Rapid enough to be competitive here for a Hall of Fame trainer.

JOCKEY: I Juarez; TRAINER: D. Wayne Lukas

4. Omaha Omaha (10-1): A deep closer, he should come over too delayed and is another one who would benefit from a lively pace. Opportunity to escape his chances.

JOCKEY: Raul Mena; TRAINER: Michael Gorham

5. Studydoright (15-1): She won the Nashua missions at a mile as a 2-year-old and was also in class 3 in 2024. Each time in three starts since Nashua, beaten with at least six lengths and does not seem to have been further this year.

JOCKEY: Xavier Perez; TRAINER: John Robb

6. Getaway Car (9-5): As the winner of Sunland Park Derby, he fought in his 3-year-old sheet for a Hall of Fame coach for a victory in Sunland Park Derby, who fought a victory with a winner from Sunland Park. The favorite of the morning line should challenge John Hancock for the lead.

JOCKEY: Irad Ortiz Jr.; TRAINER: Bob Baffert

7. Rush (5-1): Dominant winner in his second career begin for a trainer who knows the right buttons with a huge 3-year-old. Trainer Brad Cox and Jockey Flavien Prat won with a whopping 36%when he teamed up in 2024-25. Nevertheless, it is a huge hurdle to jump from a first race to a bet on the Kentucky Derby Trail.

JOCKEY: Flavien Prat; TRAINER: Brad Cox

8. Legitimate gallop (10-1): As the winner of two of his last three, he gives his eighth start. Could get a dream trip directly behind the upper couple. Worth a long look at this price.

JOCKEY: Javier Castellano; TRAINER: Tom Amoss

9. Judgment (12-1): In all three starts against the Stakes competition of more than eight lengths and beaten of 19 ½ lengths, most recently in increased star inserts. Respect the jockey trainer combination that the Kentucky Derby from Woodford Reserve and Longines Kentucky Oaks introduced a year ago, but it is hard to win it.

JOCKEY: Brian Hernandez Jr.; TRAINER: Ken McPeek

10. Georgia Magic (30-1): The only victory was on three quarter mile at his career debut in November in November in Aqueduct. With 26 lengths in Jerome Stakes lost and finally a well -proposed fourth against a lower competition. Arduous to support.

JOCKEY: Sheldon Russell; TRAINER: Raymond is reliable

The choice: John Hancock

Live long shots: Legitimate gallop, American promise

Superfecta: 2-8-6-3
